Typical Emission Control Applications

Solvent Recovery Applications

Solvent Recovery

This system, based upon regenerable activated carbon technology, was built for a pharmaceutical company that uses mixed solvents, including chlorinated solvents, in their application.

The emission control system was setup up to aerate tank emissions from a waste water treatment plant.

It processes 4,000 m³of air per hour.

Typical industries requiring solvent recovery / emission control are:

  • printing
  • pharmaceutical
  • chemical
  • pesticide
  • converting
  • adhesive
  • paint, varnish and ink
  • magnetic media
  • electronics

Toxic Gas and Odour Control applications include:

  • food processing
  • brewing
  • medical facilities/laboratories
  • sewage treatment plants
  • nuclear
  • foam treatment
  • petrochemical
  • rubber moulding

Odour and Toxic Gas Control

Odour and Toxic Gas Control

This toxic gas control system was designed to address the emissions from a paint additives (fungicide) manufacturer.

The 50m³/h process reactor emissions contain Benzene and Mercury vapour.

Regenerable activated carbon filters adsorb the VOC component of the process exhaust whilst a, specifically impregnated, SC PROTECT V200 chemisorbs the Mercury.

Waste Water Treatment

In this case, a ground water clean up operation; water is contaminated with BTX compounds.

Pumped from underground the water is filtered by two SC PROTECT L2000s in series.

A change out service is provided by The Company.

Waste Water Applications

Waste Water Treatment typical applications:

  • industrial waste water

  • groundwater

  • process and product streams

  • potable water
